Purple Day
Show Your Support On March 26th
On Tuesday, March 26, we invite you and your organization to be part of Purple Day. All you have to do is one thing: show your purple. Through this simple act, you raise awareness and show support for those living with epilepsy. Awareness brings funding. Funding brings more research, better treatments and hopefully a cure.
- Wear purple ties, socks, scarves, sweaters, dress shirts or a purple ribbon.
- Zoom, Skype, Teams meetings today? Download this filter background for all your online meetings and encourage your coworkers and/or students to do the same.

About Purple Day
At the age of 9, Nova Scotia resident Cassidy Megan created the idea of Purple Day in 2008, motivated by her own struggles with epilepsy. The Epilepsy Association of Nova Scotia came on board in 2008 to help develop Cassidy’s idea. In 2009, the Anita Kaufmann Foundation and Epilepsy Association of Nova Scotia joined forces. In 2010, Lily’s Fund joined the Purple Day campaign to raise awareness about epilepsy.
